The PEM Audit Committee (PAC) is pleased to inform all stakeholders that the Market Readiness Assessment (MRA) Reports of the PAC and Sapere Research Group Limited (Sapere) are available in the WESM website. The MRA was conducted to assess the readiness of the Market Operator (MO), System Operator (SO), Metering Services Providers (MSPs), Market Participants (Generators and Customers), and PEMC for the implementation of the enhanced WESM design and operations in Luzon and Visayas, as well as the implementation of WESM in Mindanao.

Sapere deemed in its reports that Luzon and Visayas will be ready when Go-Live Conditions are met, while Mindanao will be ready when said Go-Live Conditions raised and Mindanao-specific issues are addressed or elevated to DOE and ERC. To address Go-Live Conditions, the Market Readiness Steering Committee (MRSC) was convened on 08 July 2019. Updates on the MRA and MRSC activities are provided in the PAC’s MRA reports.  

As approved by the PEM Board, the MRA reports were submitted to the DOE on 04 September 2019 and 08 October 2019, respectively.
