RENEWABLE ENERGY MARKET ADVISORY: Validation of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) Issued for the January 2018 Billing Period

Dear RE Market Participants,

Please be advised that the RE Registrar has already issued the RECs corresponding to the January 2018 Billing Period today, 25 May 2021.

REM Participants with issued RECs for the said period are requested to submit the accomplished REC Validation Form using the attached prescribed template on or before 04 June 2021, 05:00 PM.

Please refer below for the timeline of activities relative to REC Validation and Issuance for January 2018:

Schedule	Activities
24 May – 04 June 2021	Validation of issued RECs by Participants
04 June 2021, 5PM	Deadline for submission of Validation Forms via SFTP or email at reregistrar@wesm.ph. Please note that non-submission of the REC Validation Form on the said deadline shall be considered as confirmation of the RECs issued to your company/organization for the subject billing period, per DOE directive.
Within 07 – 11 June 2021	RER will notify participants via email that the RECs issued for the subject billing month are final or if it will be adjusted in the next REC calculation

To validate the RECs issued to your company/organization, please refer to the following data which are already available in the Philippine Renewable Energy Market System (PREMS):

In addition, the REC Manual Computation Template for the validation of RECs issued to Mandated Participants from FIT-eligible generation facilities is now available in the Secured File Transfer Protocol. (SFTP). Kindly log-in to your SFTP account to download a copy of the said template.
